Just two days after launching on YouTube, a hard-hitting music video by the Detroit Area Artists and Musicians Against Trump and Jonathan’s Progressive Source PAC, titled, Racist Trump Against the 313, has already been viewed more than 100,000 times in Detroit.
The new ad was covered by the Detroit Metro Times, where it ran as the top headline for Tuesday’s website.
The video opens with the lyrics: “From the KKK, up to today, racists have tried to steal
Black votes away. The evidence is clear, for all to see: Trump’s biggest black vote attack in history!”
The 90-second video exposes how Trump would have won the 2020 election had he succeeded in racist lawsuits that would have thrown away all the votes of the four swing state cities with the largest Black populations: Detroit, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Milwaukee.
With the presidential race in swing states a dead heat, Vice President Kamala Harris needs as many Black votes as Biden won in 2020. But a recent national poll suggests that 14% of Black Americans plan to vote for Donald Trump. This is nearly double the 8% that Trump won in 2020, and could allow him to win Michigan.
“At this critical juncture, the choice is clear: vote for Harris,” said Detroit Area Artists and Musicians Against Trump (DETAMAT.org) spokesman H. Daniel Mujahid. “As the Honorable Senator Warnock stated yesterday, Black men in particular must consider who Trump is. This is the man who tried unsuccessfully last time, and will be trying again next month, to suppress and steal the vote of every Black man and woman in every major African-American city in a swing state.”
The video was produced and financed by Progressive Source PAC and is being marketed in the Detroit area as a YouTube ad. It is part of the PAC’s Stop Trump Dictatorship project, focused on voter-transforming narratives. “The stakes are too high, and voters too misinformed by Trump’s lies, to be polite,” said Jonathan Greenberg, the PAC’s founder, who has reported on Trump longer than any journalist. “This video uses the R-word; Trump is the most unrestrained racist to run for President in 50 years.”
Trump conned Greenberg into putting him on the Forbes 400 in 1982, a scam which included Trump pretending to be the non-existent “John Barron.” Greenberg has written some of the most widely read exposes of Trump’s lies to appear in the Washington Post since his presidency.
